Battery Interface Board

  • Battery
  • CAN

This board allows battery data to be accessed remotely over CAN using a low-power STM32L4 microcontroller. It connects to a BQ34Z100 State-Of-Charge tracker built in to the battery to provide current, voltage, and other feedback.

Main Features

  • Modular architecture (run up to 253 batteries in parallel!)
  • Low Power STM32L4 microcontroller
  • CAN 2.0B communication interface
  • Rich feedback with an RGB LED and buzzer
  • Separate Charge / Discharge control
  • Battery fault recovery capabilities
  • Integrated Bootloader
  • BQ34Z100 data readout (Current, Voltage, State of Charge, etc.)
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • Integration with the HEBI Platform through the use of the Battery Controller
